What packages do you offer?

We offer many different packages to customize your event entertainment! We offer live ensembles for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hour, dinner, really for an occasion! We also offer DJ, emcee, and sound services. See more: inthebluejazz.com/packages

What are your COVID-19 Policies?

What do you wear?

For formal events typically wear a black suit with white shirts, blue bow ties, and black shoes. We can dress business casual, in all black, or if you have a special request we are happy to accommodate.

Do you learn new songs?

Are you fully insured?

Yes, all of our live musicians are fully insured!

​

How early do you come to set up?

We typically set up 30 minutes to 1 hour before the performance.

​

What is your travel and break down fee?

We have no breakdown fees! We have no travel fees if the event is under 50 miles away from Grand Rapids, Michigan.

What makes you different from other musicians?

Our band always performs and rehearses together regularly, so you know that our bond to your event will be stronger than other musicians who only play together for one gig. We also uniquely offer live ensemble for classical & jazz music, in addition to DJ services.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Our process is simple and our rates are very affordable. We require a 30% non-refundable deposit to hold the date of your event.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

In The Blue Jazz Ensemble musicians were professionally trained at Grand Valley State University. Our musicians have studied under various notable jazz musicians in West Michigan such as Tim Froncek, Michael T. Drost, Jordan VanHemert, Scott Pellegrom, and many more!

Restaurants, venues, private residences, Wedding shows, Corporate events, and many more!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

What style of music they need, how man musicians they need, how long they need live entertainment, the value that the band offers, and the atmosphere they would like at their event.
